Over the past 47 years, I have created over  3,000 paintings, called impasto painting, which is a technique of applying thick layers of paint, which can provide a 3D effect that captures light and adds depth to the painting.   Impasto painting was popularized by Rembrandt and Van Gogh.  Impasto painting elevates flat canvases into sculptural art.
